We even host Australia’s only Canine Triathlon! Weather you have just one dog and a few there is something for everyone.

Ewan Maddock Dam

Dust off those running shoes and bring the dog/s and Family for a picturesque walk/run/hike/backpack (what ever you like) along the trails of Ewan Maddock Dam. Maddock Park is also a great starting point for bush walking, mountain biking and horse riding the trails around the dam and we will depart here at 7am.

This is a free event for members, $10 non-member fee applies if not a member to cover you for the weekend (deductable of a membership fee if taken out on the weekend).
Sleddog sports are a fantastic way to bond, train and get active with your pooch! And are a lot of fun 😁 . The sport is open to all breeds and mixed breeds, large and small. If your dog loves to run and pull this is the sport for you!
Scootcamp is a crash course in everything Sleddog sports, we will break it down step-by-step and our experienced members will guide you though every thing we do.

Camping:
We have exclusive use of a private property "Western Creek Hideaway" in Grandchester QLD for this event, a full address will be supplied when you register.
This is a bush camping style location, drop toilets are available and a hot shower (runs off a jerry can water supply that you must BYO water for). Generators are permitted but must be turned off at 9pm. All water supply is BYO. Camping is $10pp/pn.

Beerburrum West State Forest

Kick of the season with us at Beerburrum West State Forest for our Tails & Trails Fun Run, Aquathon and Triathlon. All entrants receive a custom Tails and Trails Medal. Hypro Premium and Inlandsis Australia have sponsored this event offering premium nutrition and first class Dog gear for our winning teams!

On Offer:
Sunday 19th May
6:30am Sharp Drivers Meet, 7am Start
Triathlon 4km Ride, 5km Run and 80m Swim. This event is only open to experienced Bikejor participants and all race suitable Bikejor and Canicross equiptment is required.

Aquathon 5km Run and 80m Swim. Canicross equipment is essential.

Fun Run 5 or 10 km, will start after the Triathlon competitors have left the marshalling area aprox 8am. The Fun run event is open to entrants of all abilities and ages ( under 7yrs must be accompanied by an adult. Canicross equipment is not required, but encouraged. Enclosed footware and appropriate clothing essential.

Self contained entrants may camp on site if desired, select the camping option in the form. Other camping to be arranged at entrants preference if required. Woodford Showgrounds offer camping to trailers and caravans (no tents), free camping available close by at Cruice Park.

You will need to BYO drinking water and a means of securing your dogs (chew proof). Helmets and safety kits are required for triathlon competitors as well as a typical mushing equipment.

Pechey State Forest QLD

Join us at Pechey State Forest for our first point score race of 2024! Entry off New England Highway on the Left travelling towards Crowsnest, just follow the yellow "Sled Dog Racing" signs.

Camping is at available for free at the Hampton Information Centre. Toilets are available. SELF SUFFICIENT Camping available on site, or Paid camping with power, toilets and showers is available at the Crows Nest Caravan Park, please BOOK directly with them.

This is a 2 heat race, Saturday PM and Sunday AM.

Saturday Drivers Meet-
Canicross Competitors: 4:15pm, Start at 4:30pm
All other Class Competitors: 5:30pm, Start 6:00pm

Sunday Drivers Meet:
ALL Competitors: 5:45am, Start 6:15am

Join us for a training and track prep weekend in preparation for the Muster!
Our Tracks will be located Down Passchedaele Rd on the left hand side of Amiens Rd when headed from Thulimbah. Look out for the Yellow Sled Dog Racing signs and follow the 'SDRQ" Arrows.

Camping is available for free at the Dalveen Rest Stop approx 20kms away, toilets available. Alternatively there is paid camping available at Fox Bar Falls aprox 8km away, book directly with them. Self sufficient ,camping is available on site, there is no power, water, toilets and fires are not permitted, you must be self contained.

Passchendeale State Forest, QLD

Join us at our Passchendeale State Forest tracks, the home of "The Red Mile Muster" . This is an ASSA point score race and a SDRQ point score race.

Camping is available on site! Minimal facilities are available, Toilets and rubbish disposal will be provided. There is NO water, showers or power available on site. Generators are permitted.
Alternatively pet friendly camping is available at Foxbar Falls, approx 8 km away please organise at your own accord. The Forest is located aprox 22km north of Stanthorpe Qld, on the New England Highway.

FIRES are NOT allowed under any circumstance, and the lighting of fires will result in immediate disqualification of associated persons from the race and you will be asked to leave! Camping is generally not allowed in QLD State forests and we are very fortunate that Plantations is allowing us this privileged, don't ruin it for every one.

We will have alternatives on offer, Please join us in the heated marquee, for drinks and a chat in the evenings.
Race Registrations open 12pm on Friday evening until late, we will take entries early Saturday (before drivers meet for those inter-staters and locals that arrive late or early) please let us know if you expect the register Saturday morning via the entry form.

Campers can arrive on site from Thursday 27th June, and must leave the site by Monday 1st July 9am, but we expect to wrap up around noon on Sunday 30th June .

Entry to the forest is off Passchendeale Rd and follow the "SDRQ" signs to the marshalling area.

This is a 2 heat race, Saturday AM and Sunday AM. An Additional Relay heat will be offered Friday afternoon for those entered.

Join us at Pechey State Forest for a club training run!
Our Tracks will be located on the right hand side of the new England HWY when headed from North from Toowoomba. Turn off at Marion St and the marshalling area is at 50-106 Marion St Pechey, on the right. Look out for the Yellow Sled Dog Racing signs and follow the 'SDRQ" Arrows.

We will train both Saturday PM and Sunday AM.
Saturday Drivers Meet-
4:15pm, Start at 4:30pm
Sunday Drivers Meet:
6:00am, Start at 6:15am
WEATHER PERMITTING.

Grandchester Mount Mort Rd, Grandchester QLD 4340, Australia

It's Back! The SDRQ Tails & Trails Tough Dog event is a fun run style obstacle course! We have 20 funfilled obstacles over a 3km course for you and your pooche/s to climb, crawl, leap and swim though.

Join us in Grandchester Queensland at the Picturesque Western Creek Hideaway, for this event which is held on private property (full address will be given Entrants only). This wonderful location offers camping ($15pp pn, please select the option on the entry form), drop toilet and shower facilities and peaceful bush land surrounds. You must BYO potable water, additional jerry can of water for the camp shower) and there is no power, but generators are permitted.
Trails are flat and technical, combining single track forest sections and open field European style sections.

Runners must run their dog on a minimum of a flat collar or harness and lead at all times (Canicross gear is also accepted). All dogs must be sociable, and must not interfere with other competitors and their dogs. Cost for the event is $30 for 1 entry (one dog) or $40 for unlimited entries (multiple dogs, only one dog per person, the option allows you to run the course multiple times). Each Entrant receives a custom tails and trails medal.
